This is my last post of the year! This year has certainly been interesting.

I am finding it extremely difficult to post something here other than meaningless drivel. So, instead of posting the exciting sneak-peeks into my life the past year, or the various exploits I have done in this holiday, I shall be just short, and end off here.

Psychonauts!

This is one amazing game! It has a crazy engaging storyline, with characters and even voices reminiscence of Invader Zim (The voice actor for Razputin, the main character, is in fact the same person who voiced Zim), with beautifully drawn settings.

The places are so exquisitely named, with things like Lair of the Lungfish, or The Milkman Conspiracy, like a throwback to all those old cartoon classics I grew up with. You have characters that are insane, bullies, pitiful and as varied as a real summer camp adventure would be. The level designs are extremely, extremely good, and they show a creativity I haven't seen for a long time. The worldscape is really well done, and I just can't stop myself playing, just to see what happens next in the story.

This place is starting to remind me of high school...which is really strange since I'm only ten. -Razputin

Nostalgia

Listening to Our Lady Peace reminds me of past time, of a younger me and my actions which I decide now are embarrassing. It's pretty strong, this warm feeling, surging forward like a silent wave, up through my chest to the back of my ears. As the music plays on, I suddenly find myself younger, staring at the screen wide-eyed. Everything was a marvel then, this fast, shifting world of the internet, and I found myself growing up in this mad community.

It reminds of a sunny day, with the clearest blue that filled the sky. It is a hazy impression, completely silent, but is touches me deeply, like a warm caress on my soul.
